At our various Spanish language schools, you will have the opportunity to choose from small classes, individual instruction, or a combination of both options. At some of our Spanish language schools, specialized programs are available for doctors, nurses, lawyers, business people, MBA's, etc.

In the classroom, teaching techniques will focus on the communicative approach to learning Spanish. From day one you will begin working on improving your conversational skills. Generally speaking, the process for novices begins by covering basic topics such as who you are, where do you live, etc. As students become more proficient in Spanish, topics may range from economics to politics. As you explore new topics, you will find yourself quickly learning new vocabulary and grammar, and how to effectively use them. In a very short period of time you will find that you will be able to effectively communicate in Spanish!

All host families (and any other accommodation option available) are located, approved and overseen by each respective language school.

When staying with a host family, you will have the chance to practice the Spanish you learned in class in a natural family setting. Because of their interest in your progress, you will find that staying with a host family is a non-threatening environment where you can practice and improve you Spanish. As your relationship with the family grows, your motivation to learn Spanish will increase.

Another great benefit of staying with a host family relates to the fact that in many cases, you will find yourself participating in family activities. They took me to restaurants, local markets, professional soccer matches, and on various trips within the city and its surrounding areas. General Host Family Information:

• Host families are middle class by local standards.
  
• Each student will be given a private room and study area (if cost is a concern, students can share a room at some locations).
  
• Laundry service is provided at many of our programs.
  
• Students will receive 1-3 meals per day (depending on location).
  
• For the majority of schools and programs, there will only be one student per family.
  
• Homestays are located within either a short walk or bus ride to the school.
  
• Students will be provided with a key to the house and their room, and will be allowed to come and go as they please.
  
• Host families and other accommodations are located, approved and overseen by each individual language school.
